Sunday Science Blog

It's been an overloaded Trump week, which put me in mind of this curious creature:

A creature with a tiny brain and a big mouth.

A creature with a tiny brain and a big mouth.

But does it have a big d***? Then Trump might endorse the comparison.

It’s got a big bulbous head and a tapering body and flabby skin. It almost looks like a glorified tadpole. It felt very gelatinous and soft when we picked it up.

Wow, an uncanny resemblance indeed.

But the biologist who gave that fish its name must have been having a really bad day.

Ladies and gentlemen, we've just found the perfect mascot for the Trump campaign.

Humanzees shouldn't be giving common names to critters not of their own kind. As a cephalopod who conscientiously objects to this practice, I intent to take this matter to the Pelagic Court of Appeal as an anti-defamation case.

It's almost all mouth. Sure it isn't a Trumpfish?
